So I started to cease fapping and delaying ejaculation for as long as I can. I actually think I'm capable of delaying it and do at least 30 days NoFap. My primary concern is not the built up anxiety and tension, but of any physical side effects of not ejaculating aka "cleaning the pipes". I've read in articles its healthy for men to ejaculate a few times a month at least and it aids in preventing prostate cancer.
Is there truth to this? Guys who have no ejaculated for long streaks (weeks, months) did you notice physical discomfort or negative side effects?

I have abstained from ejaculation for 8 months and 2 days. I have no side effects. You can have real sex but not M.

  3. If your body needs to "clean the pipes", you will have a wet dream. Also I never masturbated before the age of 18, despite having reached puberty at 12 or 13. So it is almost 6 years of nofap and I never complained from any discomfort in the pelvis area.

  4. In the initial stages you'll probably have a dull ache in your balls at various times.

One thing that happened this weekend to me is that I was dancing with a girl in a bar and it aroused me. You can imagine what that does to the snake down under after 89 days nofap. When I got home it itched for an hour or something like when you wash it with menthol shampoo hahaha. But like any other feeling, it didnt last forever. So whatever your feeling, it will pass.

I haven't ejaculated in 193 days. No ill effects. Many good effects, although I don't attribute that directly. I.e., the good effects are from discipline, absence of porn, a better conscience, etc.

I love you guys! I'm 48 days totally abstinent, which I've never done since I discovered masturbation at 13. Even at the beginning I was creating opportunities for it, and finally in 2014 I realized I had a lot of unhealthy sexually-driven relationships with women, and tried to be abstinent but only made it 14 days. Since then I was only able to go about a week or so, but somehow something took hold now and I've been able to go this long and plan to go 90 days total abstinence. My groin is really sore today and after searching Google for some info, came across this thread which is hugely supportive and gives me more hope. I think if I can steer my thoughts to less arousing things then that may help, as I've read that it's arousal without release that can contribute to the soreness down there. I feel a whole lot better lately, like I'm going to make more healthy decisions about relationships and walk away from potentially damaging and toxic situations, the kind that I used to stay in, ignoring red flags, because of the sex. I read on some other forum that it's unhealthy not to ejaculate, but most medical websites say that there is no health issue from it so that's very reassuring for me. I just realized this thread is from 2015 but it really hit home and I wanted to share my experience. Thank you!
