Hang in there dude. Seeking help is the right first step, but please note that recovery is a long journey. Below is a really helpful guide for anyone new to the recovery journey. At some point you may want to consider joining a support group on this site. The benefit is the groups is organized, people on there is serious about recovery, and the connection you make with other members can help you with your recovery. The downside is that it cost money to join, about $40 US. But the money goes towards helping to keep this site running. You can also find free support groups that's run by random members on this site, but it's hit or miss and people running or involved with it do not always behave professionally or is supportive. Something to consider, no pressure to take any action of course.

I have the same problem since I was addicted to porn and masturbating since 16 and right now it’s 2021, I will try to quit and stay away from watching porn and masturbating to porn. If I want to stay away from porn and masturbating addiction I downloaded a porn blocker phone app called Blocksite which is a app that blocks websites like porn websites. If I wanted to go to bed at night I will charge my phone on the tv stand so that I don’t touch my phone when I go to bed and not leaving my phone in my bed and that is why I keep relapsing and trying to quit last year.

If you want to quit porn addiction here are things you can stay away from watching porn:

1. Download a porn blocker app on your phone or computer.
2. Do some activities and not watching porn.
3. Hangout with friends and family to reduce watching porn by yourself.
4. Don’t search words like porn, porn star usernames, and other words that can relate to watching porn on the internet search.

That’s what I can say if you want to stay away from watching porn. If porn is still on your brain if your still addicted to it you can visit a therapist if your having problems with porn.

I have lots of thoughts, but don’t need to pile them all on. The only thing I would add is, ironically, don’t blindly rely on information and procedures.

All that stuff is great, but, for me at least, it all must rest on a foundation that is a actually pretty simple: You must within yourself have an unshakable commitment to abstain. No amount of information can guarantee that, and no one else can do it for you. You have to find it. Focus on your behavior.
