    Hey everyone,
my name is Phil. I currently live in Utah and work in the mental health field. I am also attending college to finish my bachelors degree and then on to my masters. I have been making some changes in my life and I feel porn is one of those things that needs to change. I totally happened across this site from a video I saw online. I have been trying to quit porn for a long time with little to no success. I am on here hopefully to be able to stop my pornography use completely and to start a life of love: love for myself and love for others.

It has been hard being LDS(Mormon), gay, black, and a porn addict. There are a lot of internal battles I have to fight and try to make sense of, but I hope that I can find freedom from this and then work on the other issues I face.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

So, I have an AP. He's a really close friend who I can call anytime when I need him. I started a gym membership to go whenever I feel bored, since boredom is a huge factor in my PMO. I also am on here seeking out help and encouragement from people who struggle just as I do. I know it's not easy and I know I can't do it alone.

No, you are not alone. We are here to encourage you. Check out In Case You Didn't Know for strategies and tips which may help you along your journey.

As a gay black Christian, I can imagine your struggles.
