Good morning my fellow Fapstronauts. Here is my account of my re-boot process. A little background about myself. I had been struggling with porn since I was 10 years old and have been trying to quit ever since. I have been on NoFap and r/nofap for the past 4 years and my biggest streaks were 22,45,65, and most recently 91 counting today. I am a spiritual man and I prayed a whole lot in my journey to quit. There was a lot of falling and getting back up through the whole process. I have had my fair share of binges, and have run away from nofap altogether because of my shame and disappointment. Here is a list of a few things that I learned.

    Benefits
    • MUCH better mental clarity.(I was to able to focus longer and hold difficult concepts in my mind a lot longer.)
    • HUGE self esteem increases
    • HUGE confidence increases
    • I grew closer to GOD
    • It became much easier to hold conversations with people. (I stopped focusing on myself and on others more)
    • More energy to work out and tackle draining task
    • A higher appreciation of self and others
    • New found sense of self-control and discipline. I feel ACCOMPLISHED!
    • My soul feels a lot more resilient, like it can handle more.
    • Music is absolutely beautiful when you have mental clarity and absence of the dreaded brain fog.
    Drawbacks
    • Extremely tough at times to resist the urge to fap
    • Libido increases can be frustrating at times
    • Sometimes I feel like I'm missing something.
    • Your mind and your dick is a lot more sensitive to sexual stimulation. (so be careful)
I have been struggling to be free from this addiction for 13 years. If I can do it, seriously anyone can do it. Oh and I'm 23 lol. Here is a list of things that helped me quit.

    Strategies
    • The biggest thing that helped me quit was truly wanting to experience God without the disappointment, shame, and guilt the hovered over me because of PMO. I wanted my conversations with God to be more about how we can work together to bring heaven to Earth than about Lord please forgive me and bring me out of this bondage.
    • Don't go to IMGUR, TUMBLR, and don't do "innocent searches". (Y'all know what I'm talking about)
    • Don't Masturbate! Masturbation is just fuel for the fire. I did myself a huge favor by avoiding it altogether.
    • Work out to release your sexual energy
    • Reach out to people when you are being tempted.
    • Take cold showers. (They suck but they work.)
    • Pray. Don't matter to who or what, just pray for those attributes you need to be free from PMO.
    • Leave your computer and go outside when tempted. Sometimes the mind just needs a change of scenery in order to switch gears.
One more thing, always love yourself no matter what and acknowledge your progress. This is one of the hardest choices I decided to make, and it feels really nice knowing I was able to achieve my goal of 90 days. I now plan to reach 180 days in which I will be back with more updates.
