My fetishes only grow stronger? When does it get better?

    I'm 25 and have been extremely addicted to porn edging for a long time. Started at 11. This Saturday I broke my all time highest record of 17 days. But relapsed with a 4 hours edging binge... By day 15, 16 and 17 the urges were becoming stronger and stronger. By the last day it was unbearable and my fetishes were just getting more sick and twisted.

    I'm trying to rewire to normal default sexual taste, but by abstaining from PMO my sexual urges and fetishes were only growing stronger and stronger. Almost an inverse effect. Is this normal?

    I relapsed and honestly I'm not sure how I feel about rewiring anymore. Am I supposed to go a year without PMO all while my sexual urges grow to unprecedented levels and my fetishes too? When does it stop? When does it get more bearable? Does it ever get bearable?
     
  2. Yeah this is normal. You're experiencing withdrawal. All you can do is push past it.

    The question would be how much the withdrawal would last, i guess it is different for everybody.

    Hey bro, I’m someone who has also escalated to extreme levels to porn and I had a severe edging and binging problem.

    Here is what helps me a lot, when I go even just 3-5 days with no PMO, vanilla things start to arouse me again. Just the idea of a simple women is enough to turn me on. When I lapse, I always stick to vanilla content or something very soft, and I don’t indulge in the extreme stuff whatsoever, in a way I’m slowly de-escalating my tastes and rewiring to get off to softer content. Extreme porn induced tastes is just conditioning, and to remove that conditioning you must not reinforce it, which means don’t think about it, don’t fap to it, don’t watch porn related to it, just stop giving it energy and it will eventually starve.

    Look up classical conditioning and how it is created and how it is deactivated, that is basically what porn escalated tastes are.

    After a couple of streaks with soft lapses, my taste for normal more natural things is sky rocketing while the extreme stuff in porn is becoming more and more repulsive.

  7. I can't tell you when it will get better but it will. A general rule of thumb is you can help yourself by adopting a healthy lifestyle on top of Nofap. Eating right, exercising, keeping your brain occupied etc.
