Recently I am starting to like classical music. I have the feeling it will help me overcome my "musical crisis" which I've been in for about two years after quitting metal :)

I love the Cleopatra album by the Lumineers. I love how they tell these amazing stories with their songs. You always feel something when you listen to them. I also really like On a Midnight Street acoustic version by Mathew and the Atlas. Check em out and let me know what you think!

Something about Stevie Ray Vaughn's playing in this song.....

Also the album Basal Ganglia by Mestis(Javier Reyes of Animals As Leaders) i find to be pretty relaxing.

Totally agreed about SRV's playing on Tin Pan Alley. Also his playing on both Lenny from the El Mocambo gig and Riviera Paradise from Austin City Limits blow me away every time.

    Loads of Beck.

I was SO into Mellow Gold and other Beck stuff as a teenager then forgot about it... so now I have about 15 years worth of stuff to catch up on.

Am I allowed to just spam out about a dozen links here? Probably not, many great imaginative/surreal videos:

Girl, E-Pro, Hell Yes, Black Tambourine, Lost Cause, We Dance Alone, Gamma Ray, Orphans, No Complaints and of course, Loser...

Sexx Laws seems particularly (in?)appopriate here? :O

As does Dandy Warhols - Get Off... :O

DON'T LISTEN!!! Wrong mindset. Rollins is more like it - Liar maybe. :)

People = Shit. (The majority at least, according to Corey Taylor)

The world is a giant toilet bowl disguised as a pretty place.

    It's true.

But hey let there be peace to all!

The truth of this song brings me a melodious sense of peace:

Beck rocks! Not much like them these days, once in the history of humanity type band.

This is a song which always reminds me of people playing cricket on the village green in the middle of an English Summer. I think of walking down woodland paths and walking out into the blistering sunshine. I find it very restful.

I can't think of a piece of music that thrills and moves me more than Wotan's Farewell and Magic Fire Music. Absolutely sublime ! Do you know the love duet from the prologue to Gotterdammerung ?
    All the best ..
