Morning wood gone when I open my eyes

hi this is something that happenned to me when I was PMOing for years. I would wake up in the morning without opening my eyes and feel I had a solid erection but soon as i opened my eyes it dissapeared in a matter of 2 or 3 seconds. then after falling years into PMo I had no mornign wood at all.
now after 38 days of NOFAp mornin wood comes and goes but when I have it still dissapears when I open my eyes. Anybody can relate or can especulate on the reason for that?
