Masturbation before falling to sleep

    I have a lifelong habit of masturbating before I fall asleep at night. I'm trying to break this habit but its been a challenge, does anyone else have this habit and overcome it?

    I used to PMO for a period of time only at the evenings. Can't remind how long it was but around half year for sure.
    For me it was easy solution. I always used my phone, so I just blocked everything from my phone including browser and I no longer have possibility to PMO through phone.
    Everything is in our mind. With time you recognise evening with PMO as it's your habit.
    However the longer you break that habit the less you recognise evening with PMO. This is as easy as it looks. Our minds just make it more difficult because it work for us and we want good for us. Our brain don't see dark part of PMO as it mainly focus on orgasm/reproduction what is main goal of living in the end of the day, looking at biological PoV...

    I used to every night it helps me relax and go to sleep quick. But since starting nofap the only cheats I have done are to porn.

    I had this habit too. Having a big o helped to settle and relax me at the end of the day. It was like taking a feel good drug. I don’t have any solid advice to offer you, but switching up your routine might help. For me, it took a trip with a roommate and no privacy to break that routine. That’s not to say it never happens, but it helped to change my behavior. Unfortunately, it led to me incorporating fapping into another point in my daily activities, so do be careful about that too.

    Ooh, me. I have a tip for this one.

    I struggled with this same issue. My approach, which has worked quite well, has been to exercise, starting about one to two hours before lights out. Work out hard. Strain your muscles (just be sure to stretch very well first). Any kind of exercise that you perform to failure rather than in fixed sets of reps is ideal here. Work out until you're weak and ensure that you're so tired that your body just shuts down within minutes after your head hits the pillow. If this isn't your cup of tea, at least try it for the first week or two of your reset, to help you recondition your brain away from its current habitual behavior and then lighten up thereafter.

    I know everyone's journey and body are different but this worked wonders for me.

    THIS. Using PMO to fall asleep is just giving your brain a blast of dopamine, so just get that same hit from something healthy.
