Love vs lust

When I think of love, those warm feelings inside me of feeling at ease in the world. It is almost never pornographic or even sexual. Your father saying he is proud, or your mother showing you she worries. Someone you care about gets hurt and you want to do anything you can to avenge them. With women, no matter what there is at least a desire to protect them. Even if it’s not our place, it should upset you to see. We have guys out here cheering on girls getting a beating. When even our fathers cried when it happened to their mothers. If that is such a twisted way to see life, then I’m a sick man. If you are sitting there feeling lonely, wanting to be with someone. Wanting someone to do something for you. Look at yourself and ask if you even care enough to do something for them. I’ve been too selfish before and have seen the doors close, thinking I’d still find a way in. Everyone is inside, the light is off for you. Don’t miss your opportunity for redemption. Quit sitting here asking for another chance when we had a dozen. Stay strong.

 

i remember when I first started nofap, I encountered genuine unfiltered Love for my parents, my friends, and even random people for the first time since puberty. I saw the light in their eyes for the first time. It made me realise how sick I was, how consumed I was by the cold flames of lust. I try to rememeber that feeling, that sublte overtaking tremble of Love, that made me almost cry, whenever I almost relapse, let the weakness win. I never deserved Love before, I was cast aside into a land of darkness; when I fail, when I give into my flesh, I can feel myself sink into that lesser state of being.
