    Hi all!

I have been following and have heard of NoFap for quite some time, but haven't ever joined the website or thought about taking it this seriously.

When I learned about PMO, I decided I am 100% in.

I have been attending SAA meetings over the past months, and those have been very beneficial. The idea of community, a safe space to share, and knowing I am not alone has really helped me.

I believe porn led me to some compulsive and risky behaviors in the past and I have been on a journey to replace these: voyeurism/candid porn, fetishes, and occasional exhibitionist type behavior.

The amount of remorse and guilt that these led me to made me lose sight of so much about myself, and the world around me. I believed a lot of lies about myself. "You are a pervert. You are shy. You are a loner. You are different. You are just a nice guy."

Hearing the beauty and stories of the recovery stories of the people on NoFap is inspiring, and I am excited to be a part of this community.

I am now 19 days in on PMO. Going for the 90 day, but want to exceed that. Forever!

Lately, I've been feeling a bit uneasy and recognizing how easy it is to fall back into my old habits (as I have fallen back in MANY times in the past). But I have been reading posts on this website and watching NoFap videos. Keeping in mind, I'm not going to just give in like I used to always do on my journey to recovery. I see the positives, and the transformation already happening in my life!

Any tips/thoughts on maintaining sobriety is much appreciated.

    Thank you so much!!!

  4. Welcome Ryan23! Thanks for sharing your story. 19 days is awesome! Keep up the great work. One tip I would offer would be for you to become aware of your thoughts and how those thoughts can impact your feelings. Meditation is a good way to accomplish this. And congrats on wanting to change your life. You’ll do great! We need your support just as much as you need ours. Welcome friend! :)

Cheers man, well said! Meditation is something I need to do more of. I just tend to make it more complicated than it needs to be. It can be simple.
