I cant really assure she was a lifelong celibate but considered how super-traditional her family was (her grandpa was a literal samurai) and the Japan of back-then, since she lived almost 100 years..well, I WILL say celibacy helped her a lot and she surely practiced it and ,even without it being the goal, it helped her reach 10th dan of judo while still alive. a rare honor.!
