K9 not working properly

Blockers are kind of a crutch; you should really be practicing NoFap willpower without em. Also, if you're even remotely tech-savvy, they are extremely easy to circumvent.

Thank god I don't know how to bypass K9 . It is not perfect but it has saved me .

 

Web blockers aren't good though, plus that they are for weak people. Most web blockers don't work as we want them, and quitting this addiction with the help of a web blockers isn't good though, because you might have other addictions as well and the only way to quit them is to have a high self-control and high willpower and that's what quitting the porn addiction provides us when we quit it without the help of these blockers.

I think that k9 gave my a virus. I had to pay people to completely clean my computer and when I did it was gone. Maybe it was something else though, I don't know. But if it was something else k9 should have stopped me from getting the virus.

Just be careful.

 

On a side note: I think K9 used to be a good option but the desktop version has never changed (which might indicate a lack of updates) and the mobile version is ancient at best (doesn't even seem to work on a recent phones). I know its free, but I can't credit them for leaving such a good tool to rot.

 

Well, there are but only a few a good enough for free (and some are bad even if you pay for them).
I am not really a fan of those secure browsers either, it is far to easy not to use them.

 

k9 is outdated.and blockers suck tbh.

Here's What I Do-
1.Block all the porn sites through hosts file.
2.Use norton Dns servers
3.Use cold turkey to block the sites like forever
4.Use Your antivirus to block the sites.

All these 4 steps and boom i have not (could not) opened porn in my pc since a month.but did on phone.Still figuring out details for android.Inbox me for more details or if you need instructions on how to do it on pc.
