Just think if it was the 1980's or 1990's right now you wouldn't have PIED.

It's kind of crazy when you think about it that way. If you had grown up in a different era and were the age you're the now in the 80's or 90's you wouldn't have PIED. Even if it was the early 2000's right now you wouldn't have PIED.

As I am sure you all know hardcore porn movies have been going for a long time, yet it was only after high speed internet there was a huge rise in ed in young men. Ed was near non existent in men under 40 before the millennium. It was particularly in 2006 ed rates rapidly began to rise in young men. I think it was around 2% of men under 40 that had reported ed before 2006, and then after 2006 those figures rose to around 30%. The internet really took off in 2006, as this is when video tube sites like youtube and porn tube sites went online. 2006 is also when social media sites really began to take off online. So this was the first time in human history you could get high speed unlimited sexual content.

I know the internet is a great tool, and it can be great for many things. But I also think the internet today has a sin to answer for. I know people will say it's your choice to view porn or artificial sexual stimulation online, it's your choice to view anything online. But I just believe the potential for abuse with the way the internet is these days is very high.

I don't know if it maybe would of been better being the age I am the now in the 80's or 90's? Having no PIED, maybe having a girlfriend or a wife ext, but no internet. Or maybe being the age I am the now in this time is better? Having PIED, having no girlfriend or wife but having high speed internet?

  2. In my case, regardless of the time, if I had been more sociable and more busy, none of this would have happened.

  3. The way we can connect with each other with the internet is a strange thing... Although I tend to side with the hopeless human-animal romantics of the world and ultimately think that spending your time literally in the same room with other people where you can hear, smell, feel and really be with them in a visceral way is the best way to commune with others and live your life... I still do think that the internet offers a closeness of mind that I don't really find in the "real" world. For example with this site, I feel like I've never known people better than I ever have by participating in some of their and my most intimate details of our lives, and I really do feel understood here in a way that I don't anywhere else in real life. That being said, I'll never spontaneously laugh til I cry or get plastered and dance my worries away with any of y'all on this forum, so... I think the internet offers a real incredible way to connect deeply with people in ways that we maybe aren't ready for as a human society in "real life", but it of course has it's limits, but if you do it right, I think it can be one hell of an effective tool for human connection
