    Hey everyone,

Saw this site, looked into it, and decided to register myself and joins what seems to be a pretty awesome community.

A little about why I joined... I became addicted to pornography when I was around 13, and I would spend hours browsing the internet. Even though people might say that high-speed internet was what caused them to become addicted, I was using dial-up for my browsing 'needs.' It wasn't until I was 21 that maturation came into the picture. No one ever knew I was doing this, and if they did they never told me. I've only told 3 people in my life about this issue but they wouldn't serve as 'accountability partners.'

Anyways, I never saw this as an addiction until I tried giving it up at one point and since then I've noticed how much of an effect it's had on my life. It's kept me from pursuing leadership roles and being more open with others because I feel almost sub-human. I'm also a minister-in-training and I'm terrified to bring this up because of what it could do to my reputation (and my family's reputation, since I have family members who serve in 'high places'). It's also kept me from pursuing a desire to start a podcast, pursuing a relationship, and I generally have a lack of confidence in my life. People (including people I look up to) often tell me how smart/great I am and how much potential I have, but this thing keeps holding me back from believing it myself.

I wanted to join a community that I can walk with on this journey, but I'm not that close with very many people outside of my ministry circle.

Looking forward to being a part of this movement with like-minded men and women!
