I've tried multiple times to stop masturbation, and I always thought, "if I just try harder, I can do it." I've come to realize this is an addiction and willpower alone isn't going to help me. For me, I usually end up relapsing because I get bored or I'm home alone (currently living with Parents). If willpower alone isn't enough to stop this addiction, what will be? What are some things I can do every day to keep my mind off of sex and masturbation?

    Hey buddy,
Do everything in your power to stay busy and get out of the house. I started going to the library everyday at a set time after school so I can study outside my house. Also, absolutely work out daily. You can go for walks, reach out to friends old and new, go to the park and enjoy the sun, read a book outside, go for a run, pick up a new hobby or learn a language, ride your bike, do community service, do a police ride along, literally anything outside of your house. If there is an activity that you do in your house that can be moved to somewhere else, do it somewhere else.

Also, when it does come down to those tempting moments, your right. It is not all about will power. Your character comes into play as well. The next time you consider relapsing, just think: "I will not be a quitter. I will not give up, and I choose to do everything and anything in my power to get past these temptations. I will choose to suffer, momentarily, so I can achieve an beautiful award in the long run."

No one said it was easy, but you can do it my friend. I believe in You
