    Hello all,

It's been almost 10 years since I've been officially a part of the NoFap community. The last post I made was on an entirely different account when I was 14 years old. I'm currently 23 and I'm looking forward to a fresh start on my NoFap journey. My previous journey consisted of managing several decently long breaks and suffering through multiple relapses. I've never been able to say that I acheived my goal of stopping once and for all. In recent years, my addiction has become more and more unstable, interfering with my every day life. Upon coming across my old NoFap posts and feeling almost as if I have disappointed some younger, more invincible version of myself I still have deep down inside of me, I've decided to get serious about finally quitting for good.

Last time I was here, I was still in grade school, not even old enough to work. Today, I serve in the military and hold a Bachelor's degree. While I've had many accomplishments to be proud of throughout the course of my life, not a single one of them would make me as happy as finally being able to finally give up this crippling addiction that I've struggled with for so long. So today is the day I put my foot down and finally give it an honest go, with an entire community fighting the same battle as me. Thank you all for the read. I wish you the best of luck and hope one day, you too will be able to be free of the chains that bind you.

Feel free to reach out to me if you need anything, have any question, or seek advice.

First and foremost, welcome back and thank you for your sacrifice!

It's good to here that you have had enough of this addiction and wanna do something about it. That's a big first step only that "commitment".

Don't be to hard on yourself about your youth. It's very common to get curious to search up erotic content at that age, because your body is transforming from boy to man and the hormones are in full swing. You will feel more sexual tensions in you because your body is beginning to get ready to reproduce. It's very common during that period that boys and girls begins to masturbate. Some choose to do it more, some less and some never do it.

But when you start watch porn and masturbate your brain will get to much of the good stuff and slowly an addiction develops, because a man's brain loves erotic stuff and it will begin to release more and more dopamine for every time you PMOing. Until one day you will notice that things you enjoyed doing before PMO is all of a sudden boring. That's the negative aspect of the addiction, you will only be able to feel good when PMOing, and begin to do more frequently, because of the dopamine.

Your brain releases dopamine while watching porn and orgasm. Every new porn video or photo you watch your brain will release dopamine and that's what's make you wanna keep watching it, even for hours, and eventually while watching porn you'll feel more and more horny and start to masturbate until you orgasm. Your brains goal is to release as much dopamine as possible.

I hope you are able to get rid of this addiction once and for all, don't be to hard on yourself if you relapse, see it instead of a mistake and we all have to learn from our mistakes. Find your inner warrior and really try to fight back against the urges, because you know that these "urges" aren't yours, it's your brains.

Keep fighting the good fight because it will be worth it!
