Too many people attempting NoFap (myself included) believe that by just saying to yourself "right, I'm never watching porn again", is in itself enough for them to resist their urges and quit, without changing any other aspect of their lives.

If you've been going up to your room at the same time every evening for the past ten years to watch porn and jerk off, your brain will have conditioned itself to expect this, because you've developed a regular habit of doing something that releases all of those feel-good chemicals.

You need to change your environment and your routines if you want to see real change.

Will power, although necessary, is not enough on its own.
