Hello i'm new to this NoFap thing, for the past 4 years or so i've been struggling with a terrible porn addiction, which many years back i had promised to my myself that i would change and quit for good, which never turned out to be true, i would just say it to myself and then eventually the urge got the best for me and i did it again, and it has been like this the day i got addicted, and because of this, i became so prone to it that i couldn't even last one day, and i did it multiple times a day.
i realized through multiple videos that it is not good for you, for your mental health.
and throughout my porn addiction, i noticed some changes to my personality, my mindset, i became more introverted, i would think of things in a much more explicit and dirty-minded manner, which i associated with my porn addiction.
i'm doing this because i haven't been feeling "myself" lately, i've been letting my porn brainrot take over me and i end up doing things that i don't desire to do.
i wish to finally quit it once and for all, wish me luck :)

  2. Welcome @letsgo7891

I hope this community will support you and make you achieve your goal to stop.

It's tough to rewire a brain from addiction, but it's not impossible. I did just accomplish my third week without MO especially, since I quit porn months ago. Unfortunately the journey to a rewired brain will make you have "bad urges" and "flashbacks" from your past before going NoFap.

If I would suggest you something on your journey would be that, when the "urges" is growing inside, reminde yourself that it is only your brain that is giving you tests to see if you are strong or weak. Show your brain that you aren't "weak", and by "weak" I mean that as soon as your "urges" comes you would go watch porn and masturbate without any hesitation. But if you make it see you as a "strong" and are able to stand against it's tricks and tests, you will begin to win strong battles against it and you will slowly begin to heal it.

You shall be able to control your own mind and body and not your brain. If you continue to give your brain what it wants you will have a really hard time to change to the better. Be "determined" to say "no" to those urges because the longer you will stay away from your bad habits, the more will your brain start to rewire and become a normal and healthy brain again.

I wish you luck and remember "determination" is the key to unlock your addiction and become free.
