IBs and general internet convo is destroying my social skills. Replacement, advice?

I feel imageboard use, interaction in the social media I still have (which is PMO-blocked ,but comments active) are destroying my sense of reality, communication skills ,etc. even if I just READ comments online, it damages me! What solutions are there? the only traditional forums Im an active member of are this one, and a catholic devotional forum.
Should I block comments, IBs, etc, from my internet browsing?
Is going back to email-to-email based communications a wise, good idea? I have some academic stuff I investigated, so--theres that! I also have a reddit account , horrible idea, but I need to get some info trough the specific forums sometimes.

I wont become a grumpy hermit by doing this changes..on the contrary Ill be much more natural!
