Hey guys, I really hope you're all having a great day! I'll try to keep this quite short and sweet. I've checked out Nofap a lot before for help on quitting PMO, however, I keep relapsing... quite spectacularly. Though I get further on each attempt (current best, 3 weeks), I'm really struggling to go beyond. I'm doing this on my own. Nobody knows that I have this problem and I feel like I need a team behind me. This is why I have signed up - to talk directly to any fellow ex-fappers-to-be out there who are doing it or have done it. (Fucking Heroes) Please, if you can, let me know what things work/worked best for you. Mindsets, distractions, whatever you got! I would really appriciate some words of encouragement, inspiration and advice. To give a little more background, I'm 24 and have watched porn for probably a decade now. I seem to relapse the most when i'm tired... My thinking just goes out the window at that point! Another, is when I'm feeling pretty low which could be from stress or just not PMO'ing. After giving in and relapsing, I just feel so shitty, anxious, uninspired, the lot and its having a negative effect on the really important things in life, relationships etc. But for some reason, I keep going back. It needs to stop. On a more positive note! I love my job, have amazing friends, family and girlfriend! However, 10 years or so of regular PMO seems to beat me and I hate not having control over that. Starting today, this shit ends. Thanks team! J

Hello and welcome to NoFap! You have a pretty awesome team to support you, and we are wishing you the best. Here is some valuable advice given by current fapstronauts. I hope it helps!
Thanks man, this is true. I will start my journal today. I see you've just started a new one! You got this!
Welcome to the community. You will find a ton of support here. Some of the things I recommend: - Start a journal in the appropriate section. - Create a set of rules for your reboot along with some goals. - Create a plan of action that you can enact immediately without thinking when you feel triggered. This can save precious seconds. - Identify your triggers. If you know what they are, then you can start your plan of action before you become very triggered. - While you are journaling, make sure that you analyze your thoughts and feelings on a daily basis. Ususally, you can discover things about yourself that can help you be successful. Now if you do relapse, don't be hard on yourself. Learn from the experience, analyze and change your plan of action. Then you can consider yourself successful as well. Remember, take one day at a time and be patient. This is a long and difficult journey but one well worth taking. It is encouraging that you are realizing you have this issue at such a young age. Your future self will thank you for taking this step. There are also some links in my signature that will help you get started as well (For tablets/mobile devices you may have to turn it sideways to see the signature). I hope this helps. Stay strong!
Hi there! This is great. I'm on day two now, Day One was spent doing just these things. I feel like I have got pretty solid clarity over my triggers and have a plan of action when then urge comes. Also some personal goals, relearn instruments, exercise, etc - I hope this is what you mean by goals.. ha! Anyways, so far so good! Thank you for taking the time to comment! Its hugely appreciated.
That is awesome! Keep up the great work! I am glad that I could help. Remember to take one day at a time. Stay strong!
