I need help with escort addiction

Some positives here is you know what triggers your acting out, so I would recommend staying away from searching for female interaction at this time. Give yourself a break from it and maybe try to think about why it is you crave female interaction and validation.

 

Stay away from porn, stay away from escort websites, stay away from anything that turns you on.

exercise, learn to meditate, make goals in life, focus on achieving goals, learn about the damages of porn

 

I am also going through this currently. I got a new job but somewhere along the line my mind has taken that as permission that because I have a bit more money now I can spend on escorts without caring as much. Today I spent $160 on two escorts. THIS IS NOT the norm for me btw. Usually one or two escorts per month.

I kind of want it to be zero but as I don't have a girlfriend I feel like these compulsions will never truly go away.

 

These are 2 big reasons why I would never visit a prostitute (you can call them escorts to sound fancy but I will call them what they are, prostitutes). Add in fear of STDs and you have my trifecta.

I have a few ideas that might help you:
1. When you think about visiting an escort, say it out loud, 'I will not visit a prostitute." Call them what they are and maybe it will shock you into not doing it. If it was not an ad on the internet, and you had to cruise the streets for someone, would you do it?

2. Maybe you should write down exactly what happened that occurred when you were in these dangerous situations. Then when you think about visiting an escort you can read it again to remind yourself of the danger to it.

3. Also maybe write out how you would feel having to tell family and friends you were arrested for trying to visit at prostitute. And review these things when you think about visiting a prostitute.

 

Thanks for the support, I have just set up screen time on my iphone to help me focus, remove distractions and block escort and adult sites, and uninstalled my VPN app (I only ever go looking for escorts on my phone, and my carrier blocks those sites so I have to use a VPN to get on them).

I have also just changed my laptop's DNS to a cloudflare custom DNS which blocks all adult sites, doesn't even show a block page, just doesn't load them.

 

What are the dangerous circumstances?

 

Why have you had no success with women?

 

You noted alcohol also. Is that playing a part? It can lower inhibitions and make you forget the negative experiences. Alcohol can be a part of the relapse...Some good advice on this thread. Wishing you the best!
