Porn is used as an escape route. Loneliness is one of the common reasons to use porn. It is truly sad because biologically we are made to socialise and get to know one another but that seems too much for many people out there.

yeah it's really true... I think loneliness is the biggest cause of mental health problems.. the solution tho fortunately is not far.. we're never too far from other humans just have to learn to work together and trust.. hugs to all my bros and female bros out there..

 

Honestly, I agree with M_H that we are naturally social beings. I also read that when I was researching nofap.

I know that I would avoid social interactions just to go and PMO. Go to bed early/head out sooner.

totally agree PMO can never complete with real human inter action but as addicts, it was the best we could do stop the pain. Realizing this is key and shows the importances of putting your self in more social sitiuations.

 

People are looking for connection even when they are at their lowest. It's the mind trying to recreate a sense of togetherness and community. PMO is just a shitty substitution overall.
