I found this site in early 20I4. I tryd to quit porn beford but i failed too many times this year. I relapsed last night. And i thought - i was not worthy of anything at all i am worthless. And now i am taking this challenge online an i hope i can make it to 90 days an more. I would also like advice on how to do it

    Hey man- welcome! :)

I found out about nofap and joined at the beginning of this year too. I've been attempting nofap to varying degrees of effectiveness ever since. Early on I wasn't very serious about it. I thought I could reboot by not watching porn, yet I was still masturbating every day, and looking at any kind of sexual content that didn't involve nudity. Needless to say I relapsed many times with that approach. The most I managed in those early days was 24 days.

I tried quitting masturbation as well, but it was a lot harder to stop masturbating. It was also a lot harder to stay away from porn when I was still masturbating- I managed 52 days no porn but was masturbating about once a week. Yet after that I relapsed hard for about a month! :(

Sorry to dump my story on you- but I thought it important to give some context. '

What I've learnt from this journey so far- is that if you want to beat this addiction once and for all- you have to devote your very being into fighting it. Don't just do nofap. Decide what's wrong about your life at the moment and work out a plan on how you can improve yourself. Then work to that plan every single day.

It's hard justing starting off- but it does become easier with time. The first 3-4 weeks are usually hell, but it's not all bad. That said, it's no picnic either. It requires a lot of blood, sweat and tears. It is recommended to abstain from all things sexual for a period of 90 days to reboot your brain. This means- no porn, no masturbating, no edging, no watching promiscuous content, no going to strip clubs/ bikini bars and ideally, no fantasising. It is up to you whether you have sex with a partner during your reboot but bear in mind that sex will slow down your reboot.

    Good luck man!
