Hello everyone. I've been a member of the NoFap subreddit for quite some time now, and have been a fapstronaut long before I had even heard of the "NoFap." I have recently blocked reddit, facebook, twitter, and a plethora of other websites that I waste way too much time on, so I joined this site in hopes of being able to keep ties with a community of like-minded individuals who want to support each other as we destroy our addiction together. Anyway, I did not learn to masturbate until I was 16. (I know, that's absolutely bonkers, right?) But when I did, boy oh boy, did I go crazy with it. It honestly did not become a huge problem (aside from the irritable chaffing) until I grew up and had unlimited access to the internet. (I had a fairly sheltered childhood.) I have noticed how when I watch pornography, I begin to get bored with the "normal sex" type videos, and my brain has demanded more extreme brands of porn in order to achieve arousal. Thankfully I have both been aware of this, and have been battling this long enough, that I do not feel like pornography has altered my sexuality in any extreme ways. Despite that, I still want masturbation and pornography to be something that does not take part in my life at all. I think that it is unhealthy in that porn gives me unrealistic expectations regarding relationships with other people. You (usually) cannot simply jump in and have sex with someone, getting there takes alot of getting to know one another and becoming more comfortable with one another. I also feel like it "lowers my mojo," so to speak. When I masturbate I generally feel less driven to pursue and maintain relationships with potential mates. Also, one of the things I want to always do is to make every second of my day as worthwhile as possible. I for one don't find masturbation to be very worthwhile, honestly I usually feel a little sad and lonely when I finish. So anywho, hey guys and gals, what's up?
