Start day 01

 

Joined today but about 5 weeks now without porn or fapping. I’m in HEAVY depression and out of control anxiety but zero temptation to relapse. I think I’ve broken porns hold on me but what the hell do I do with this depression?? Assuming that porn addiction incites or excites the same neurotransmitters as other addictions I wonder what you all think about the possible use of Kappa-opioid antagonists (you’ll have to google it as I don’t want to use a link here) Articles will only speak about their possible use in treating alcohol or cocaine withdrawal but just ignore that and consider it’s possible application to porn withdrawal. It’s my first post so be gentle with me if I’m in the wrong place for this type of discussion.

Also, I've started on anti anxiety/depression drugs and a side effect is reduced sexual appetite? Thought it might be helpful for some to know that as it's making the nofap process a little easier. I'm less anxious and depressed which was a trigger for fapping.

I only wish I'd started them sooner and might not have dug such a big hole.

I don't know about the drug you mentioned, but anti anxiety/depression drugs are helping me as they suppress sexual appetite (in some people/to different amounts) and reduce anxiety/depression which was a key trigger in my relapsing. Sorry it's not what you asked for. Good luck. You are good enough and worthy of happiness. x
