    Hey guys,

I noticed that most of the time my path to failure is very identical. I browse thorough IG, see some sexual intended content, search for leaks and watch p in the end. I'm searching for a blocking tool or any other way to prevent myself from going there. Hoping for some recommendation, maybe you made good experiences with certain softwares or apps. (P.S. I don't want to quit social media completely)

    Thanks

Do you use IG for actual connections with friends whose numbers or other socials you don't have? What about uninstalling IG? Not what you're looking for, just a thought. I haven't tried changing the DNS...

The DNS works pretty well, but I have multiple friends, that I only have contact via IG, so uninstalling is not an option.

What I’ve found that helped me a lot through my battles with social media was not deleting the whole app itself, just your account and starting a new. The algorithm no matter how much you try with your current account will always find ways to shove it down your throat, which ends up badly. But if you create a new account and follow people you know and want to follow it not only keeps you accountable for keeping it clean but also acts as a first step in a tough battle to break the cycle.

it may be daunting starting again and figuring out reasons to tell everyone but it’d as simple as saying your account got hacked here’s your new one and people you know and love will come flooding into your new account, leaving behind all the messed up shit. Hope this helps bring another insight into your problem of social media!

DNS is not effective because you can disable it when you are urged.
