As the title says " I have the same question "

I have been in this trap , not exactly addict but yes for last 3-4years. Since I was 14, Now I am 18.

Right now I am 36 days PMO free. But I still get some real strong urges to watch PORN. I strongly resist myself.

I don't really feel like watching it that much I used to?
But my question is that is there any level where you just don't want to watch it?
Because I do not feel I am 100% free of PMO as I sometimes feel like PMOing but I resist?

Yes, there is, but there will always be moments of temptation.

By the way, Gary Wilson suggests 7-9 months for a full reboot.

Well yes, but the most progress is made in the early stages. I think that significant progress is made when you can successfully quell urges or deny yourself the urge of temptation. That way you are building the necessary skills and mental capacity for abstaining from PMO. I see you're beyond the initial hump of 30 days. Well done! :) The next hump will be the 90 days (imo). Good work so far and keep going! :)

It takes months for your body's chemicals to normalize but occasional cravings could persist for years. You need to change the way you think about porn. Believe that it is gross, inhumane, silly, addictive, severely inferior to the real act of sex, and generally not worth your time. When you actually believe that porn is stupid, you will have conquered your addiction both chemically and emotionally.

Yeah, I hear that it take about 90 day to 9 months depending on the person. After that you will easily be able to abstain. You cannot however ever use porn again safely.

I think its about waking up to the fact that porn is not real and any artificial sexual stimulation is addictive and not good for us. At the end of this I do not even want to go back to porn at all, I just wish I could be there sooner.

  12. It takes different amounts of time for different people, guys. For example, if you've been a severe addict since childhood, then logically it will take your body longer to reboot and to rebalance.

Believe or not, some men started watching porn in their adult years, so for people such as that, it will be significantly quicker to re balance the brain.

For a severe addict, I personally feel that it can take maybe up to 5 months, maybe longer.

Most who aren't addicts should be able to reboot within the 90 days. For some it's worked even earlier. It's really about knowing our own bodies and being honest with ourselves. We should know how long it will take for each of us as individuals. Only an individual knows the severity of his/her addiction.

    Hey guys,
So I just started on this website, I am 18 years old as of today and started watching porn at 12. I have been trying to recover for the past 4 years but haven't ever been able to make it to a month. I feel as though I have tried to recover thousands of times. This is not only a serious problem and a waste of time for me. Any advice? (I do realize it is going to take some time to reboot)

  16. I somewhere watched that every 1 year of this PMO addiction we need 2-3 months to fully recovered.
Ex. If any man is addicted by 10 years he needs 10*2= 20 months to fully recover.

*** English is not my native language so don't mind I I do mistake in grammar.

  17. It depends upon on ur addiction. If u r severe addicted to pmo so 1 years hardmode is sure...Huge addiction level=long time.Bt by making some good habit this journey is easy...
