How can I get rid of my hair porn fetish?

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Bruhbruh101, May 19, 2017.

  1. How can body hair put there by Allah, be a porn urge? The vast majority of porn these days shows women that have completely bald body hair - no pubes round their vulva and no underarm hair etc. I would say that men that desire a woman who is groomed to look like a prepubescent girl are suffering from "porn urges", not men who desire a natural, adult body with naturally occurring body hair. o_O Your own porn usage has perverted your eyes so that you fetishize no hair!

I have to say, that I strongly disagree with some of the opinions given here.

According to the 'Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders' published by the American Psychiatric Association, a fetish is a "[...] recurrent and intense sexual arousal from either the use of nonliving objects or a highly specific focus on nongenital body part(s), as manifested by fantasies, urges, or behaviors."

Furthermore: "Thus, an individual may have fetishistic disorder associated with an inanimate object (e.g., female undergarments) or an exclusive focus on an intensely eroticized body part (e.g., feet, hair), or their fetishistic interest may meet criteria for various combinations of these specifiers (e.g., socks, shoes and feet)."

So any object or bodypart - including hair - can be a fetish, no matter if they are "natural" or not.

The same argumentation would apply to sweat. Sweating is natural, so we are supposed to be sticky and sweaty all the time? I don't think so.

Not trying to be rude here, but this is just a claim without any evidence given. In my opinion it is more a cultural phenomenon driven by an increased strive for hygiene and optical improvment. I personally don't like pubic hair because it looks weird and disgusting for me. It also feels annoying at times and it increases the amount of sweat in my private area by an considerable amount, which I don't like at all. Blaming the porn industry for a change in human life is just overshooting the goal in my opinion.
But in the end we have to agree to disagree, I guess. I just wanted to share my view on the subject.

In order to get rid of hair fetishism, one should (a) Focus on changing one's behaviour and thinking (b) Inculcating some other hobby like playing or watching some sports (c) Visiting gender specific beauty saloon like man visiting men's saloon and woman visiting women's saloon (d) Practising yoga and meditation (e) Socializing with other people (f) Visiting eateries, religious places, tourist destinations (g) Considering hair as just a part of skin (h) Visiting saloons, beauty parlours when there is not much rush or no rush or being the first or the last customer on a particular day (i) Appreciating other's hair style or hair cut or accepting other's hair style or hair cut as how it is (j) Talk to people by looking at their face or eyes and try to avoid looking at their hair as much as possible and whenever you can (k) Consult a medical practitioner or a doctor if necessary.
