Hey guys im a new user on NoFap and i just want to introduce myself and my story, i have struggled with pornography since the age of 12 when receiving my first cellphone and discovered porn by just browsing through a so called MUSIC SITE, after one look i was hooked always going back for another look and once i learnt i could masturbate my addiction really formed, now im 21 and in a place in my life where i really hate where i am and some of the porn has escalated into the realm of disgust...I looked at myself and broke down this is not who i want to be,being disgusted with myself never having a girlfriend, still a virgin and all because i resorted to porn instead of learning to enjoy healthy relationships with people......basically im joining nofap because im done accepting that my addiction is stronger than me and it is time to take a stand....and i was hoping to also find an Accountability partner as i think this is essential in recovery and if anyone is willing to help i would appreciate it ;).

Welcome ashton, Stay active here, write a journal in Reboot Log section, read post and reply if inclined. You will get chatting with people in private, a good way to find a compatible Acct. Partner.

  4. Hi @ashton-l33 , welcome to NoFap

It is a big step if you can understand what is triggering your urges, because this will allow you to be awake and kill those urges as soon as they appear.

I recommend you to create your own "Emergency Toolbox" with readings that can be handy to read when you start feeling urges to screw up.
I can share this post with you with my own Emergency Toolbox, it helped me a lot during the first few months, i had them in my cell and read them every time I started falling down:

I wrote some tips in this post that perhaps will help you too:

You can watch some interesting videos which are also very helpful in this post:

I also suggest you to read "Breaking the Cycle" by George Collins, it is a must-read if you are serious about getting rid of this addiction.

Last but not least, I would strongly recommend you to take the NoFap Academy course if you can afford it. The course is great but the best value are the weekly video calls with @alexander (the creator of NoFap and NoFap Academy) and Mark Queppet, where you can chat with them in real life and listen to other guys's stories and problems too.

I hope that all this helps you to fight this shitty addiction.
    Let's keep on fighting
