Hey guys. So I first discovered porn, when I was 13 years old, and had been pmo'ing consistently 3x a day. (I'm 18 now) until the beginning of August, which was when i had realized this was a problem. I objectified women, only seeing them as sexual objects, rather than living, breathing, emotional beings. This affected my social skills with both sexes, Lack of confidence, no motivation to do the important things in my life. I understand now, that after exploring, yourbrainonporn that my mental, and physical wellness is corrupted. This is not my first attempt to abstain from pmo. My longest streak was 8 days( I know). But in those 8 days, I remember how good I felt, the sex drive, the motivation, the confidence. After those 8 days I made it to 5 days, 4 days, relapsed over and over, but now i have the tools necessary to embark on this journey. I know what triggers me, and what patterns lead me into pmo. And know what to do in the moment of temptation. IT IS NOT EASY!!!!!!! I know I will face temptation, but I have to keep pushing. I know that cutting out pmo alone won't fix my problems. I see nofap as a testament to willpower, desire, and motivation. To see if you are ready to let it go. And be in control of your life. Which is what i want for myself. Day 3 No Pmo. Please write back. Thank you!

    Hi @dopeitsben_13 and welcome!

Try not to think in "streaks". Do you really want to quit for good? Do you see yourself not using PMO for the rest of your life? Why am I saying this? http://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/galaxims-journal.20036/page-7#post-326754

The hardest path is the beginning is the easiest in the long term. You have a dopamine addiction that you need to kill, to exterminate, to get rid off forever. It's going to be a painful process if you do it right, as porn has always been there for you, hasn't it? Porn doesn't ask any questions, just gives pleasure, in exchange of enslaving ourselves and destroying our lives and the lives of those that we care the most for.

I can suggest to visit the Starter Kit, which is an unofficial compilation of step by step guides on where to begin and what to do: http://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/galaxims-journal.20036/page-8#post-330466

If you take this seriously, it's going to be really hard. You need a plan, a strong reason for quitting and to participate actively in the community. As soon as you can try to get yourself an accountability partner. Start documenting each action and each trigger, as to find a solution to a problem we have first to be able to know which is the problem.

Take a look also at the documents on my signature. Some of them are my own, but most of them are key ones made by expert members of this community or the other reboot communities. Print them. Read them again. Take those documents wherever you go.

Anyway great to have you here! Read the posts from Galaxim... And remember that the point of good community is honesty, not success!! :)
