My name is Nik. I am new here. I have been abstaining before for good periods of time due to different reasons. Out of respect for my Gf when we had to live 75 miles apart at some point and could not see each other more than once a week. Then I found my way back to God and started to become more interested widening my perspective and giving a shot to the bible. I was doing well. Then I became single again and it has been about a year and a half now. Cause it was a serious relationship and it took me some time to recover. I truly felt better without porn and it had been almost a year without it and maybe releasing some of the pressure once a month without any sinful thoughts or as much as possible. And I did it for the single concern that I did not want to damage myself. I had read some articles about negative effects of not using your genitals and I felt kinda clogged once. Maybe it was my imagination. I don`t know. So I would be grateful guys if you can refer my some legit articles that explain if abstinence is actually not going to damage my legacy, so to speak. P.S - not planning on staying single, just taking my time , cause I am looking for something more serious and where I live people tend to have more fast meaningless relationships or the casual sex. Which I had enough of. So hopefully I want to get control over my own body until I find the right person
