I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. I’m on day 16 of no PMO. Visually the most I’ve looked at is IG and feet pictures while scrolling. I’m on this journey to reset my sexual energy and become more aware if it. I’ve been married for 15 years and it’s not going great. Porn addiction has contributed to the decline of our relationship and I’m only now seeing it after it’s too late. My wife told me a year or so ago that she’s not attracted to me sexually and doesn’t want any intimacy. It’s really tough for me because I have to relearn who I am as I have always been very affectionate with women and enjoy their affection to nearly no end. I haven’t had any instances where my wife has wanted to touch me yet but according to things I’ve read it will happen eventually. If not then this is a good experiment for the supposed magnetic attraction aspects of Nofap. At least I will learn something about myself.
It helps that I’ve been training bjj for seven years. Nofap has indeed made me feel much stronger physically on the mats and I feel boundless energy while training as well as doing chores and work around my house. I feel like I’m ranting so I’ll stop there. Ty for reading. Any advice is appreciated.

So much for short and sweet! Haha. Thank you for the warm welcome sir. Bjj is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

  4. Oh, that's great! I imagine that BJJ requires a lot of discipline. Having some sort of goal to work on concurrently with NoFap really seems to help. I have started P90X and as I gain physical strength, it seems to be helping me with willpower as well.

How long have you had a problem with P? Have you tried stopping before?

I was bullied as a kid and always wanted to have a discipline or regiment as my upbringing was sort of chaotic and I always sensed that I needed some kind of discipline that would ground me or just transform me into someone that could be confident and not afraid of others. When I found jiu jitsu at 31 I felt like I finally found what I was missing my whole life. I’ve been addicted to porn from about age 11 or 12 but started with magazines as I grew up in the early 90’s. Tbh stopping cold turkey hasn’t been very difficult for me. I’m in a better place perhaps than a lot of men out there and I feel lucky to have jiu jitsu to channel my aggression as well as creativity! Cause you can do both those on the mats somehow! End rant
