Help me escape this prison

    Hi everyone. I started with PMO when I was 12 ( that was 1975!) and have been a daily abuser ever since. PMO has ruined my ability to have good relationships. I was physically and emotionally abused as a child and PMO is the drug I haven't been able to quit. I've quit smoking and alcohol but this , I can't imagine how I will do this. If I make it to bedtime tonight I'll be thrilled. I'm engaged to an incredibly beautiful woman but my porn brain is so in command I can't orgasm with her and need a blue pill. I recently started praying to Our Lady to intercede for me and ask God for the grace of chastity and purity and God is great and brought me here. I'll need your help brothers and sisters, but I know I can escape this horrible prison.

    Prison is a terrible place to be in. Telling you when to eat, when to shower, when to sleep, when to wake.

    Every move is dictated by correctional officers.

    In prison we don't have freedom of movement. Can't just get up and raid the refrigerator.

    Not in control. Subject to our compulsivity. Do what I say and do what you need to do. That is what sexual compulsivity does to us. We are controlled by that porn mindset.

    Your story is right on target with many of us online here. I had to take nearly 2yrs or more to reboot. No S*x at all except for the occasional slip or relapse. If which I struggled.

    My recent winning streak of 126 days felt awesome. I'm still working on it.

    Your in the right place. Your faith looks good. Keep looking to God, as you understand Him. Seek His will. Keep in recovery. Face to face contact is best. But the forums are good too.

    If you need someone, I'm here. I've got 2 ears. Reach out! Help others, reach out and help yourself.

    Thank You so much for sharing that! It's so reassuring that others have been fighting this battle and winning. I was successful yesterday and hope to be again today.

    You have no idea my friend. God loves you infinitely more than you can ever imagine. I will certainly pray for you. I also find it very sad that you wish to use NoFap as a forum for athiest proselytizing. Best of luck to you on your journey.
