I recently noticed myself edging for prolonged periods of times. Often, I download pics of women I find alluring on Pinterest, always in underwear or bikinis, and before I know it, I got many dozens of them on my camera roll. I usually fall asleep for about 2-3 hours (at 5AM), wake up (at 8AM), and keep edging until I am forced to go to class or to complete an assignment. I’ve done this routine atleast 5 times this year. It’s seriously horrendous, as my finals are in 2 weeks and I’ve worked so hard for everything until now. Seriously, I tell myself I won’t ever download Pinterest, I block everything on my phone, but before you know it, I easily by pass all the filters everything just to peak at women, and then I’m on it for often times 8+ hours.

I have a girlfriend, and I feel like this is going to ruin my relationship that I have with her.

So I need help. I need help because tomorrow I’m seeing her and in two weeks I have my finals. I need to somehow loose my sex drive right now. The only problem is that the women on Pinterest are often SO attractive. Like I almost loose all sense of things. It’s this attraction to the alluring women that I have to change, because I’ve always seeked that out my whole life.

PS: I’ve been edging for 3 hours, edged 2 days ago for 9 hours. How can I stop this session so that it doesn’t get to 9 hours?

    thank you everyone

If you want it bad enough - you can do it.

Recognize the triggers that cause you to want to edge before you lose self control. For instance - you're debating with yourself whether or not you should edge.

Next, immediately do a different activity as soon as you recognize that trigger. (Write post on NoFap, or go for a walk.) Don't continue debating with that voice that tells you to look at pinterest.

    I believe in you!!!

I don't have any special tips but I'll tell you from personal experience that edging is terrible. I had an edging problem. It gave me premature ejaculation and hypogonadism and reduced testosterone and I suspect it contributed to many other health problems. Do whatever it takes to stop. Just imagine that when you do it, your D will shrivel up and fall off because that's very close to the truth.

Thank you for your message. I’ll try to think of the negative affects next time. It might help me with choosing not to start.

I’m responding to my own forum because this is an update: I’m trying to convince myself to stop edging right now (it’s taking all the willpower in me just to type this message). Sadly I’m unable to stop. Idk how to stop. It’s so powerful. Should I release the tension right now, or fight it head on, go for a walk, or even a run? Those things might make it easier to fight the urges, because I feel like right now it’s so so difficult. I also feel like by not releasing the tension, I’m not reenforcing it.

Whatever you do, it's always better to end a binge or relapse sooner rather than later.

That's a lie that your limbic system tells you. You ARE able to stop! You can stop right now! Just do it!

I strongly recommend you go for a run right now.
