has anyone fixed gut/digestion issues with nofap? (ibs/sibo)

what has pmo got to do with digestive problems loooool. Nofap only cures your brain, it doesn't cure automimmune diseases

  2. Your brain and gut are linked mate. I used to struggle with continuous stomach issues and loose stool that was attributed to withdrawal. Like I said I dont struggle with it anymore. If you do more research you'll see a pattern where it's a clear symptom.

  3. Every time I've relapsed I've had loose stool or constipation. I still have loose stool, can't wait to get the "big rockets" again. My diet has been the same for the past few years. It's definitely linked.

  4. 110% it will sound vulgar but even the color of my shit was darker when I PMO'd. It was like I had upset stomach along with cramps and what have you. I would say like a pseudo IBS like kind of thing. My diet has remained the same throughout I eat very well.

  5. When I've relapsed I've had this strong nerve in my lower stomach jumping around, like eye twitching. I guess PMO seriously mixes our nerve system so our stomach reacts to it in the same way.

  6. I can totally relate its torture it really is. Best wishes, friend!

We ain't talking about autoimmune diseases. Back when I first posted this it was before I went to the gastrenterologist thats why i used the term IBS/Sibo.
Anyway in my case, I took all the proper stool and bloodtests and had a gastroscopy. After ruling out any diseases and infections the gastroscopy showed stomach inflammation aka gastritis. My doctor said that my issue is not pathological but its caused by what is known as stomach neurosis (roughly translates to nervous stomach).
And, yes, in fact brain issues like anxiety and fear can trigger a nervous attack on the stomach and/or the intestines.

The Bowel Movements are not directly linked to gastritis though. Whatever the case, I have one problem less to worry about.

Hmm, a search shows no mention of probiotics in this thread. Not that you should assume taking a pill will do it, I understand sometimes they can get stuck at a certain part of the digestive tract and not reach the intended target. There is of course also prebiotics to foster the right environment, and what probably very few people consider is timing of diet - which relates to intermittent fasting and chronobiology. There is a temporal context as well as a physical one.

I can confirm that PMO can contribute A LOT to digestive problems. I've had digestion problems for years. The biggest side effect has been seborrheic dermatitis. I get it all over my face, and when I get a big flare up, I'm barely able to function and I feel like ripping my face off. Luckily I've mustered enough willpower to not scratch my face too much when it itches.

This is all because I have a leaky gut. I've had to radically alter my diet, as some foods make it worse. I've introduced probiotics to help repair the gut. All of these things help my face get better.

But what I've discovered about a year ago, is that whenever I PMO, all of that repairing is lost, I get big flareups and all the other symptoms of a leaky gut all over again. PMO not only interferes in the healing process, it makes my dermatitis and my digestive problems much worse.

This was confirmed to me over and over again each time I relapsed. Like clockwork, about a day or two after I'd relapse, I'd get a big dermatitis flareup, diarrhea, bloating, and all the other symptoms I'd usually get. This in spite of continuing my restrictive diet and taking probiotics.

I knew doing these things to heal my body would be pointless if I didn't stop PMO as well. So I've been using this as motivation to stop my PMO addiction. Whenever I get an urge now, I try to think of when I get those bad dermatitis flare-ups and how I don't want to go back to that.

Well the anti-biotics did not actually do anything and the doctor was trying to persuade me to have a colonoscopy despite having issues from the stomach and above so I went to another doctor.
He run the necessary blood and stool tests. He said there is not a disease or something.
Then he suggested a gastroscopy to get a better view.
He find out that I have gastritis which is basically stomach inflamation.
    Again, no disease found.
He said that the inflammation is caused due to high stress and is also known as stomach neurosis! It roughly translates to anxious stomach. Other people might get headaches or wtv due to anxiety and others might get this. He was claiming that from the beginning but we run the tests just to be sure.
He gave me esomeprazole which basically reduces the acids in the stomach in order to repair the inflammation and im still taking them. I did take librax for a few days and it was actually somewhat helpful.
The symptoms have eased but the doctor says that I have to control my anxiety/stress.
Regarding the stools, they are pretty normal most of the times and they have nothing to do with the stomach.

Before running to conclusions, please visit a good doctor and tell him all of your symptoms.
Do NOT google your symptoms. You will begin a vicious cycle of searching and matching your symptoms with a TON of diseases and it will make you even more stressful. I fell into that trap for quite a long time and started self medicating with supplements, which let me tell you it was bullshit.
Ask your doctor kindly to run all the necessary tests to rule any possible causes.

My streak is 500+ days no p.
I went 100+ without Pmo and then had sex and went another 100 or so no pmo. From 200 something i do masturbate occasionally.

    Loooool

    1. Look into the "vagus nerve"
    2. Just 80% of your serotonine is in your gut, but hey no neural activity there :p
    3. Enzymes in your intestines, kidneys and liver correspond with your neural activity and vice versa
    4. Your brain and small intestine even LOOK alike
    5. Where do you feel butterflies when in love??
    6. As above so below

    Loool

Sorry for my sarcasm buddy but please try to keep a somewhat more open mind to what people ask/suggest. My psychiatrist confirms the gutbrain connecten and guess what your digestive system is doing when your body is under stress. No time to put energy in digesting food when fighting/fleeing/f*ing all the time ey

Same here, but this happened not just when i pmoed but also when i kept myself sexually aroused, even without porn or touching myself, but just by sexually fantasizing and staying aroused.

This did not happen however if i had real sex.

Absolutely ! I used to have really bad constipation but that has passed, if you excuse the pun.
Also, I drink enough water as that really helped with constipation as the digestive system does not then need to squeeze every drop of water out of the poo and turn it to cement.
I also eat some pro-biotic yoghurt every day which helps with health as well.
Apart from that I eat a normal balanced diet, without any crazy fads or other fringe ideas.
Protein every day, carbohydrates for energy, milk and cheese for calcium.

Also I eat tomato's to produce Dopamine as they have tyrosine a precursor needed to make Dopamine.
Other sources of Dopamine are Banana's and Eggs.

    Cheers for now.
