Hard mode/retention is so liberating

    It's such a peace of mind knowing that sex alone won't improve my life, and that it will instead sap my energy and end my spiritual gains.

    Once you internalize the undesirability of unprocreative sex, you don't feel chained by the temptations.

    that thought has been on my mind too. im married but not in a good sexual type relationship. recently been reading up and thinking how retention does help me. today, i was overwhelmed with a series of attractive women scenarios. busts hanging out, other features etc. i tried to ignore them; didnt do great at that but came home and went here to remind myself of sex not being the " end of all answers". an old army buddy of mine relayed his celibacy status a few years ago after many years of being out of touch with him. im not sure of his reasons but it did strike an interest with me. ever since, i have tried to remember that because sex and releasing have been so important in my daily life. i know better now but the struggle continues. now, i seem to enjoy the struggle. but hell, im 56 yrs old! the struggle is or must be damn hard for the younger men. i still think you are lucky for realizing the benefits. drive on!! i type with one finger. sorry, been drinking.

    I think it's very important to quit porn first and foremost. This strengthens your pre frontal cortex so you have the willpower to practice seminal retention. Meditation also really helps divert my thoughts from sex.

    I'm half your age (28), but even I wish I had discovered this earlier. I want to have many many children, I think if I only allow myself procreative sex, it will happen. My brain will find any way to get that sex.

    Sexual urges are the most powerful motivation in the world. We who learn to harness it for our own ends will become the most powerful men.
