    Hi guys,

Long time reader of nofap, YBOP, YBRB, reddit nofap etc.
Started watching porn before age 10.
By 12 was using it every night, online.
PIED; Realised it when by chance at age 15 my cousin wanted me to see a prostitute, to "get laid dude".
Figured out porn was bad by googling "reasons to stop watching porn". LOL.

Almost 23 now. Haven't fixed my lust, but I'm much better at managing it. Had sex many times! Lost my virginity at 18.

I've learned many things that can help you guys. I've gone above 6 months many times. Never past a year unfortunately; But I have experience. I've separated sexual lust from pornography.

You know porn starts off often as lust, and then becomes a separate desire of its own. It's a fucking cancer. Kill it.

I've fixed ED completely. I've gone from limp noodle, to minute man, to ten minute man, to 5 orgasms one after the other and the girl was exhausted.

Here's a few things I've tried that work (many I learned here so you've probably read it before):

Before starting, let me apologize for saying "I" and "I" over and over. Of course I'm nobody special. It sounds narcissistic and self obsessed but it is because what worked is based only on my experience and it may or may not work for you. The only way to find out is to try!

    FOOD MANIPULATION
Avoid fast carbohydrates, especially sugar. Trash food, processed food etc in general I noticed, ignites cravings. The reason being some dopamine receptors are common for food and sex. And there's a lot of neurotransmitter production in the gut. Change your diet and you'll have an easier time defeating this.

You can really manipulate yourself by controlling food intake. How often you eat, and what can really make a BIG BIG difference. So to reiterate:

Avoid sugar, glucose syrup etc. Avoid complex foods such as cookies, sweets etc. The more it's been processed (for example, pasta is wheat turned into flour which is then put into a factory and turned into pasta, and then you boil it.... = Lot's of different steps. Whereas bread is more simple : Wheat turned into flour which is baked and then you eat it) the worse it is for you. If it's got a million ingredients in it, it's not good! Same if it never rots.

There's many different eating styles out there

    Low carb-Zero carb
    Ketogenic
    Vegetarian or vegan
    Even the carnivore diet!!!

I've sort of tried all four, except vegan.

Lowering carbohydrates I've found reduced my anxiety. No more energy dips as well.
I avoid rice and pasta, but I've found lentils don't give me an energy dip.
Also eating fiber lowers energy dips. So add some lettuce or something.
This is important because if you have energy dips you might crave PMO.

Also: High carb/Fast carb + High fat (especially saturated fat) = energy dip and wanting to sleep for sure. It might also get you fat!!

Anecdotal evidence suggests high saturated fat diet makes me lazy: don't be afraid to experiment.

Carnivore diet : its expensive. If you eat only meat, you have to buy high quality or you're gonna ruin your health. Cheap meat means mistreated animals fed with crap that goes in their tissues, and then you eat it and get sick.

If you have the money and the good meat, eat it rare; Think rib-eye steaks. Eat the fat too : Avoiding the fat means you will have bad digestion. High quality meat means high quality fat!! And
Why? Because eating only meat, depending on your body type (it's not compatible with every body) can be one of the most satisfying things ever.

I remember fasting for 48 hours (to remove other foods and be sure of how it would feel) and then eating an organic, rare rib-eye steak with butter. And water. After eating it I went out for a walk.

I saw the sunset and it felt like the most beautiful thing in the world. My senses were sharp, sound, sight, smell, everything. I felt amazing!! And something with women as well... I got more looks maybe? believe it increases testosterone levels.

Unfortunately I couldn't afford doing it for more than two weeks; I payed for the best beef I could get. But do try.

    FASTING
I've done 9 day water fasts.

Started out at 5 days, after a PMO binge.
The rationale was that if I fucked up my brain with all that dopamine, fasting will make my senses sharp again by triggering the survival instinct. You need energy when your starving, to find food. So I starved myself, and drank tea and water. No sugar.

By the third day I no longer felt the pain of the binge. Also subsequent cravings were too weak to make me act on them. IMO fasting, if you do it for many enough days (2+) and depending on your body (dont put yourself at risk) its the craving master kill switch.

You just can't fap when you're starving. It's also a way to negotiate with ones self. I tell myself : For every orgasm, I owe a day of water fasting. That makes binges less attractive. It's rough but if like me you hate the hangover of a PMO binge, try it out. The first 48 hours are just bad but after you have all that mental strength!! It increases self control and I noticed I didn't want to waste time anymore, because I got so restless!!!

Word of caution : If you're into fitness and work out alot, fasting might get you injured. You'll feel drained too. I only do yoga during my fasts so I train fairly light.

I also noticed fasting makes me want to make money. All of a sudden I want to make dough!! Try it guys!

    WIM HOF BREATHING
You must've heard of that one. It makes you feel so good. Sharpens the senses. Makes your nervous system wake up (instead of retreat which is what happens after a binge). I highly recommend it. A great supplement to cold showers.

You can find the guide on YT.
Wim Hof is an awesome dude who can control his body so much he can have hour long ice baths. Isn't that amazing?

    Supplements...
There is no miracle nofap supplement. However N-acetyl-cysteine has been linked with lowering compulsive behavior, apparently. It's cheap; I've used it for a year. 600mg daily. You can get 6 months of the stuff for about 20$ on amazon. It definitely impacts your mood. I would try it out. You can also try things such as GABA, Brahmi root, St Johns Wort, 5 HTP, Grifonnia... Just be responsible and don't jack out your brain. And don't use it as a crutch.

    Sleep
It seems using a pc after midnight is a surefire binge trigger for me. So I've made it a habit to avoid using electronics after 00:00. Porn urges ALWAYS come to me if I stay up at night in front of a pc. Doesn't matter if its day 1 or day 200. That's just the way it is.

Also waking up too late messes me up. I'm somewhat of an early bird type.
Suggestion: Respect your sleep cycle. It's largely genetic.
    Read the book
Why we sleep by Matthew Walker to understand how it works. Your body has an internal time clock and always knows the real time. Its amazing! Highly recommended.

    Exercise
You must move your body every day, exercise in one form or another! If you can... It's in your advantage for sure!

    Socializing
Talking to people I love makes me feel good. Don't just stay lonely at home!

    Purpose
If you feel like it's all pointless and you're just wasting your time, then your brain's gonna run out of dopamine. Winning is a drug. Set yourself regular, small objectives (so you know if you're winning) that lead to a bigger goal. That way you get small wins; and small wins is a small dose of dope, that keeps you running. Once you build the momentum you will not want to stop.
Anytime my routine had to stop because of a major change beyond my control, or when I felt like I'd lost control of things - PMO would come into my mind.
Read Mans Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl - It's an awesome read!

That's all I can think of right now...
