I have decided to view this process as a long term plan over the span of 1 year. My current issue is not actually masturbating, I don't feel like masturbating. My issue is porn. Trying to quit it has been difficult. So I have added on porn blockers to make it tougher to do. And only going to log in to this website at the end of the month. IF anybody wants to join me, do message me. So I have 1 year to develop 12 key stone habits that will completely change my life. So for this month of August I have started to meditate for 5-7 days a week. Then next month I will workout 5-7 times a week. So these are the habits; August - Meditate once a day September - Workout 5 - 7 times a week October - Read 20 pages a day November - Learn Skills (30 minutes a day) December - Learn Music Theory (30 minutes a day) January - Practice Guitar (30 minutes a day) February - Learn Personal Training (CPT, 30 minutes a day) March - Coding (30 minutes) April - Track Water Intake May - Track Food Intake June - Learn Skills (1 hour) July - Organize My Room Daily August - Learn Skills (1.5 hours). My belief is if I were to create these habits over time, I would be to busy to worry about porn. These good habits will slowly outweigh the bad habits and over power it rendering this want useless. I am implementing strategies from Atomic Habits and the idea of 1% better daily. Critical analysis of this plan would be greatly appreciated, I would like to know how to make this a better plan.
Good plan, habit is destiny. Remember to notice when your attention drifts to porn, feel free to use something you planned for a future month as a distraction simply to get your mind off of it.
