GOING TO BEGIN A NEW CHAPTER

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Deleted Account, May 22, 2018.

  1. Just reached 20 Years of age and had this addiction for 7 years. Highest I went was 24 days . Main reason for relapse was always porn. But now,I finally have found a way to avoid relapsing.I found this very helpful so READ THIS GUYS:-

DO YOU KNOW WHAT ADDICTION MEANS?

I know, its a silly question but one of the most imp ones.See basically,OUR URGE TO DO SOMETHING EXCEEDS OUR WILLPOWER TO NOT DO IT. Now when we fail to control our urge and this cycle repeats everyday, every month and the whole year,WE CALL THIS AN ADDICTION.

SO THE BEST WAY TO STOP THIS ADDICTION IS TO STOP TRIGGERING THE URGE

    How do we do that?
because if you rely on willpower alone, you ,mister, are going to fail.
SO,the easiest way we can achieve nofap goals no matter how serious your addiction is by having PORN BLOCKERS

    I AM super SERIOUS.
Set up an acc on K9 or Kaspersky and make the password combination of random nos and words and give it to your close friend or acc partner or your parents.
BY DOING THIS,YOU TAKE AWAY THE TRIGGERS.
Because there always is a trigger.
When there is no trigger,a gun will never work.
So anyway i have installed this software on my laptop, mobile and gave it to my mother.
    ALREADY FEELING BETTER AND RELAXED.
DAY 1:I AM GOING IN DAY 90:HERE I COME.
TO MY FUTURE GF:WE ARE MEETING SOON.

    Good luck!

I like your name. I’m 28 years old but I too was a big fan of Bleach. Here’s to hoping that we can all Bankai in a good way, ridding ourselves of that bad urges and living a more fulfilling life. Self control also exerts confidence, I’m sure you will meet the girl of your dreams.

  7. Thank you
Yup ,the core values, concepts behind Bleach is Good overcoming Evil. Especially the Soul-Society arc was so inspiring and for me it was the best in the whole series.

Wow,its nice to see so many people from different parts of the world coming together and creating something like this thread.

  8. Hi. Welcome to forum! Glad to hear you found something that works for you. May I also suggest you something else?

Look into mindfulness meditation. It has helped me personally tremendously to learn how to deal with urges. It takes a while to get good at it and notice results, so you need to be consistent with it, but once you do it's very powerful. It has been used by sages for thousands of years to deal with various issues of the mind. And in recent decades the science is also catching up to what ancient sages have know for centuries. Meditation these days are widely used as very effective tool by psychologists for treating addiction and by neurologists for supporting recovery of the brain. It is a great exercise for the brain the same way as jogging is great exercise for the body. Check out this Ted talk, it gives a good idea of what's it about when it comes to philosophy. As far as practical side of it there is this awesome smartphone app called Headspace for guided meditations to get you started.

Wish you lot's of strength and success in your reboot journey!

  9. Yeah.....I have read about it and tried it. Its just that......its difficult to make it into a habit . The starting few days , we are good , motivated and everything and then slowly it kinda fades from our life. But definitely great advice. I will try it for sure. Thank you so much.

  10. Sorry guys.
    Relapsed big time.
    Starting over
    I let you all down
