Give what you can

    The post COVID world has been tough to alot of people.
    The town I live in (like most) has seen a surge in homelessness.
    I try and keep change in my car/pocket to give to the less fortunate.
    We all have problems but many of these people wished they had my problems. No food, no where to live etc.
    Puts things into perspective..

    Exactly, I try to donate food to a foodbank for a local charity which helps the homeless as much as I can. It really pays off to not be selfish and not be dragged down by selfish world we are living in.

    Yeah good on you. Even if someone is earning a lower income and you can spare a quarter that helps too.
    One thing I am a stickler for is that whoever asks is polite with me. I remember years ago a guy asked me for a cigarette. He said "hey, come here" I said "what do you want man?" He goes 'give me a smoke!' I walked away from him.if he had asked me politely I would have given him one.

    I also make an effort to keep spare change in my car or pocket to give to those who are less fortunate.
