Getting back to taking this problem seriously

Hello all. I'm AEC, and I used to be very active on the not using porn forum, a long time ago. I was having incremental progress for a time but I fell to the bottom again and I'm working on finding a new way out. I heard about this community while listening to a podcast, read the introductory booklet, and remembered how much those words resonate with me. I want a reboot. I want normal non-compulsive sexuality.

I'm religious, but other than my username I have no plans to write about that part of my reboot process. I'm also a computer scientist, a college professor. I would be a better one without porn.

I'm doing the standard 90-day reboot. I look forward to talking with you all.

 

Thanks @Empty Red Cloud ! It's nice to make a connection from npsupport DOT net. I logged in there, too, but it seems to be abandoned for all practical purposes. That made me sad.

The cold shower is part of my latest attitude toward this affliction: that training myself in ascetic practice---denying ordinary pleasures and comforts, I will grow in strength to resist the temptations with PMO.
