Hello Fapstronauts from all over the world!

I briefly introduce myself while surrounded by this Christmas spirit (which I find a bit too much - I am a Grinch inside).

My name is A. and I am from Italy (only personal information I'll share - we are 60mio people, and I don't think it is too personal).

The nickname The Comte of Montecristo came up because I almost finished the book in these days and I hope the strategic view and long-term perspective of Edmond Dantes could be a pattern also for my rebooting (I think the book is gonna end tragically but please - no spoiler and I hope that part will not resemble my life)

I came across the blog some days ago and read all the amazing pages on "Rebooting" and started thinking: "This is what I would really need"...

On the 21st of December, two days ago, I had a dreadful moment with porn (and I know you know what I am talking about) and I decided it was time to put into action what I read.

I deleted all my hard disk with GBs and GBs of videos, cleaned my phone from Telegram group of OF creators and deleted my dating profile (which was not helping). IG is still there, but I hope I can manage... otherwise, I will also remove it.

I am just two days in - and I think it's gonna be difficult, frustrating, awful in certain moments.

But I know it is the right thing to do... and I hope to feel - even if from kilometres and kilometres away (or should I say miles and miles away) - your warm support and help.

Let's begin this path, and thanks! Ciao!

    A.

    Hey A,
it's nice to meet you. I began my NoFap journey around 3 weeks ago and I am glad that you and I are not alone in this fight.
It is very difficult at times to fight the urge, but those are the moments in which you have to say - This is not who I am anymore.
Here are some tips that I use when...(you know what I am talking about)
    1. Call somebody and to talk to them about sth fun(not girls and sex of course)
    2. Use the panic button in the NoFap site
    3. Answer/Help somebody in the NoFap forum or read some of the success stories
    4. Create a private note on your phone, where you can write about your private feelings and urges. I personally also write when I fail, so I can motivate myself
    5. If you have some free time go outside for a walk
    6. Remember that you won't feel better after doing it. You are gonna be disappointed of yourself the whole day.
    7. Not fapping/watching porn for a week doesn't mean that you deserve an award for it. Fighting the urge after a week in is easier than fighting it after 4 hours in. Remember that.

I hope that these are helpful. If you have some questions or some tips for me, I would be happy to chat with you.

    Greetings
