Well food and nature don't have feelings so they aren't offended by being called "porn" ... Looking at something that is very appetizing or aesthetically appealing kind of relates to porn since porn can be aesthetically appealing as well, so I can get the reference.

It is a crude term to use but it doesn't ruffle my feathers that much.

I've never heard of "nature porn" but actual food porn and not just in a slang context (it's lit, fam) is called that because the food itself is sexualized like porn.
For example:

• A butt looking fruit is penetrated by something hard, perhaps a carrot
• White spreads

So, yes, be offended on the behalf of food. Or better yet, pray for the people who find filming this type of porn fulfilling. Porn is bad no matter what kind.
