This has been a long fight for me. I've really wanted to beat this thing for a long time, but only now do I feel like I have chance. Not really sure what changed exactly, but I'm feeling hopeful, and I just gotta let it out. It's been 2 weeks now since I've looked at porn, the best I've done since around August 2016. I've come to realize, I'm much more addicted to masturbation, and I've now been working on some good strategies to fight it. Thanks to this community, I've really seen some major progress. I've still got a lot to go, but I just wanted to say thank you. Thanks to every single one of you who has been with me in this fight. Stay strong brothers. Victory will be ours.

Care to share some of your strategies?

  3. I can express the feeling same of finally doing this however, I think my change of fapping and porn has come from reading certain articles on the YBOP website. Some great reading, especially the studies that have been done with mice when it comes to constant sexual activity of one partner vs new partners.

They are by no means perfect. In fact, just starting to get used to them... But I definitely am very hopeful. They include having timed showers (no longer than 4 minutes), blocking all internet access on my phone, putting a filter on my laptop, and visiting NF everyday.

I totally agree. Those studies were amazing, really destroyed all the myths I had from the porn disinformation. Gary Wilson's studies really opened my eyes and educated me on this disease.

Definitely do. I know that for me, having the knowledge of the science behind this addiction educated me on the damage that I was doing to myself and served as an incentive for me to no longer relapse. I no longer want to be enslaved by fapping or porn.
