Fetish from young age (not porn acquired)

    I acquired a fetish from a young age for wearing long socks and boxer briefs and MO.
    recently it has spread that whenever I wear any pair of socks or wear pants that are not embarrassingly large and loose around the crotch it causes a subtle arousal and it is a trigger.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to deal with this issue?

    From what I know, you have to find the root cause and understand why you have it. By allowing memories to resurface and questioning them, that way you can slowly "dismantle" it. I have the same issue.

    CBT therapy, hypnotherapy and psilocybin really helps me.

    Really interesting. What type of CBT therapy (can you provide an example?)

    How did psilocybin work/help?

    Curious of exposure therapy or aversion therapy works, and who could even administer it.

    Hi I got some CBT therapy that was referred by my doctor for ptsd. It was only 10 sessions but it was very helpful. I found having diagrams being used a good way of explaining and for me taking it in. I’ve also done a lot of compassion based therapy with a clinical psychologist. I will try and attach some of the material given.

    Sometimes just writing down thoughts, feelings and behaviours that you notice around the time of an urge can help you to find a space to analyse the behaviour , to increase our options for choice,


    Think about what the emotional need of that behaviour might be? Does it make you feel good? Short term long term, cost / benefit analysis (weigh up the good things v the not so good things

    There’s a good sex addiction expert called Paula Hall who talks about questioning our cognitive distortions. I found this approach to work great through Alan Carrs easy way to stop smoking. Our brain will make excuses for the path of least resistance. With rationalisations. Once these excuses had been examined and exposed as false I had no reason left to continue to smoke. And we’re talking 15-20 years cig free now. Sex is more difficult to me but the more tools we have the better. There’s a book similar Quit Porn Easily which is similar.

    Im not sure where you can get them I was given a load that were picked locally. I’d tired having random sessions on them and got some insight. But have been informed they work best microdosing about 0.3-0.5 of a gram every 3 days. I feel my brain absorbs the therapy a lot easier and am able to meditate well too. They’re not the silver bullet that’s going to cure you but they’re a handy tool to re earth you I find. I’m not sure which country you are in but kits can be brought online to do your own. Viking spors or Zamnesia are good I’ve heard.

    Update: so i've relapsed and fell into my old behavior. went to the store and bought tons of socks and leggings and pantyhose to try on. Even tied myself up - havent done that in 8 years. I also didnt get so hard when i tried on all the stuff.

    The interesting thing is that i purposely didn't masturbate, I think when you engage in a fetish and dont orgasm you can possibly decondition the fetish and arousal which starts because the body is getting ready for an orgasm. if it learns that there is no orgasm coming, it can lower the arousal.
