I have a fetish for obese people squashing skinnier people. I know it sounds weird and bizarre but thats the truth. Men or women as long as theyre fat I could get off to it. At this point it has nothing to do with sexual orientation but rather with the act of having someone heavier squash another person.

It existed before exposure to porn, I know the root cause of it. I know what happened that caused this fetish.

My question is, is that curabale? Can one get rid of something that is innate and deeply rooted? Is it possible to change the brain?

I'm not expert but we're changing our brains all the time. Meaning: When you learn something new (e.g. a language) your brain changes or re-connects differently. So, in theory, if you stay away from these kind of things it should result in a different brain-structure as well. But I guess like with e.g. alcoholism: Falling back might be always possible so it's important that you never taste again.

  3. You have to find out for yourself if the brain can go through radical change. If someone answers this for you, you are left with only conclusions and freedom will be far away.

You’ll be able to get rid of it by doing some inner child / trauma work. That’s what I’m currently doing

I think that it is better to ask an expert. We have only a general knowledge about neuroplasticity, but such plasticity is very limited. Psychiatry can't cure autism, schizophrenia, intellectual disability and many other disorders. Also I think that self experimenting on your sexuality is dangerous, you need a mentor. There are a lot of limitations in life and establishing unrealistic goals can be dangerous. I don't know about prospects of fetishism treatment and your sexual life, it is very complex topic and it should be decided individually for every person. Personally, I think that paraphilias with childhood onset are like sexual orientations. It is possible to manage them, but it is very difficult to change them, also I don't like unrealistic goals in therapy or life in general. I think that paraphilias aren't caused by flukes (random events in childhood) but by some defect in the learning process (maybe future studies will reveal such brain mechanisms) which impacts psychosexual ontogeny.

If you know the reason/root cause you have a good chance. But you will probably need pro help, specifically someone who specializes in fetishes.

Squashing is at its root about a power dynamic (one dominating another absolutely). Maybe a lateral move to a different type of dominant/submissive sexual dynamic?

Do you identify more with the squashed or the squashed?

Squashed.... there is no pro in my country regarding this topic. All I can do is read books, grief therapy and try to solve this myself. I have dont significant improvements regarding my anxiety and fear, Im not questioning my orientation anymore and stuff like that. I now understand that my issue is trauma based, now I need to figure this out from there..

I found that micro dosing, therapy, belief, and persistence dismantled my fetish over time :)
