Edging and minimal, no-orgasm failed semi-ejaculation

    OK, i'll make it short. Tried Nofap before, made it 3 weeks a few months ago. Now coming up on 3 weeks this time. No porn, no traditional jacking off and ejaculation. However, I also have sleep issues (independent of nofap) and often wake up in the middle of the night and/or early morning. This time was also one of the times of the day when i would masturbate (no porn) to relieve the pressure and also to help me sleep.

    But now, since I can't get back to sleep, am really foggy headed and sleepy/tired, and also horny, I have a really, really hard time stopping myself from touching or rolling around in the sheets. Basically, I'm semi-inadvertantly "edging". I read that edging is worse than orgasm, and though i probably don't spend a ton of minutes doing this, it's been fairly consistent when I do get up this early. Is edging really that bad? IS it worse?

    Bigger issue is that sometimes, i go a little too far, and have what i'd call a failed ejaculation. Like, some precum, a few contractions, and limited fluid coming out very briefly (but not anywhere near a full load or the same consistency. It obviously feels great, but once this happens I usually can stop myself or freeze and not move and take down the pressure and not have an orgasm.

    But physiologically, and in terms of NOFAP -- did I?

    I have been seeing "some" of the benefits 3 weeks in. I was especially impressed at my voice deeping that started happening last week, which I recalled occuriing during my first 3 week stretch. But over the last few days, i haven't noticed this again. And I'm worrying that whatever improved voice tone I "lost" through these failed cums.

    Do these min cums matter? If there was no orgasm, but release, then something happened. Prolactin, or something. Really frustrated I lost my deepening voice. Edging really that detrimental if it's without porn and for short period of time and not planned?

    How does one stop himself when he's in bed and cant' sleep anyway and is rolling around trying to get back to sleep and so horny, but also lacking proper prefrontal activation in the middle of night to help prevent giving in.
