Eating healthy

  1. Has anyone got good benefits of changing eating habit? From junk food to healthy food?

    Of couse, eating healthy will benefit you tremendously.

    I recommend nutritionfacts.org or watching "What the Health" on Netflix (or somewhere else), to get the main culprits out of the way.

    I will most likely get a shit ton of hate for this, but whatever.

    Yes. I feel great eating healthier. When you eat healthy for a couple of months you start losing a taste for junk food. And if you do finally eat junk food after not having it for a while ... it actually tastes different ... worse. You can start tasting the chemicals and processed crap in the food. I remember switching from regular (hydrogenated) peanut butter to homemade peanut butter. I used to eat the regular stuff by the spoonful. After trying it again after going natural, it now tastes like wax to me. It's disgusting.

    That's been my experience anyway.

    Of course. Besides improving your health significantly, eating vegetables and fruits makes it much easier to not have urges to watch porn/masturbate. I've always had a large appetite, so there have been times when I came home and either ate too much or ate poorly (sugary trail mixes, fatty + sugary bagels, candy) and then immediately proceeded to watch porn.

    So, no, it isn't proven by science (as far as I know), but I'm beyond positive that eating healthy makes abstaining much much much easier.

    (Along with sleep, exercise, hobbies, social interaction, naps, etc)

  5. Let me put it in a fap context -

    Bad food impacts negatively your hormones etc, and your mood. It kills willpower and self power. puts you on a chemical induced cycle if you eat it often.

    Where as eating clean, keeps you balanced, makes it easier for you to make healthier lifestyle choices like NoFap.

    Bad food goes with bad moods and cycles - in my experience but also from my reading and talking to others

    I had NO idea how much changing your diet can change your life.

    For me the most important factor has been energy. I have energy to do shit literally all day nonstop. Before, when i ate junk food all day, i needed coffee, red bull, or adderall literally all day long to have the same energy i have now. Now i just have 1 coffee or tea in the morning and i'm good to go all day long.

    Also feeling like shit. I dont know how else to explain this, but i didnt realize it wasn't "normal" to feel like shit all day long. Then one day i ate clean for a week and i literally never experienced this feeling in my life. I can't believe i was able to function in life before.

    Eating clean is difficult, time consuming, and sometimes expensive. I understand not everyone is able to afford fresh food every day. But if you learn to cook i promise you its not as expensive as you think.
