Gertjan van Zessen is a psychologist working in the field of sexaddiction. He had more than 1000 clients dealing with these problems and he says most of the sexaddicts (addiction to porn watching is a form of sexaddiction) can be threated within 6 sessions.(approximately half a year)

In his books he discussed stories about a couple where the hussband is found by his wife wearing her cloths. When the police knocks on the door when they found out there were traces of child pornography. Also the vicious circle is discussed. I am reading his books now and will go back to comment in this threat when i have new things to add.

    Here is the solution:

He says that you shouldn't focus on the PROBLEMS (masturbating, watching large amounts of porn etc etc). He says you can go on with this behaviour, but you should work on an other aspect of your life (offcourse when you watch child pornogrophy you should quit that). He names it "zelfwaardering" (selfvalueing). When the selfvalue goes UP it replaces emptiness and it replaces negative feelings. Many people tend to masturbate watch porn because it is escapisme. When you are masturbating or watching porn or both you dont spend time on solving problems or dealing with problems or thinking about these problems. He says you can solve this behaviour by doing small tasks. The smaller and easier the better. Everytime you accomplish these task you should stop, think about the task and pet yourself on the back. This makes you feel good. This has to be repeated every time. BUT in half a year people see LOTS of improvement.

Also you should try to be more mindfull:

    * When you go outside focus your attention on the sun and enjoy it.
    * When you go out buy that more expensive/better coffee for yourself.
    * Go for that 10min longer walk with your dog.
    * Turn off the mobile phone for 15minutes and feel free.

What do you guys think? He says this is for most of the cases the solution. When you have like real mental disorders (voices, heavy compulsion etc) then go to Psychiatrist.
