I used to think that god is real until I was 7 years old. Such dumb thing.

I used to think that everything you ever ate was stacked on top of each other in your stomach, and the reason you die once your old was because there was no more room to stack any food you ate. That being said I viewed the food to be in its form before you chew it... yeah I was never a bright kid

  4. Yeah, that one always drives me crazy. I've never really had much of an issue with saying that wrong, because it doesn't make any sense if you say it the wrong way.

  5. I thought Life is going to change after high school but i was wrong.

  6. You presumably at least stopped going to school?

  13. There's a website called i used to believe that's full of these stories and it's hilarious.

Here are some good ones I've read:

'when i was little, i used to think Darth Vader (from star wars) was actually named Dark Hater... there was a girl who used to bully me around and she was black... so one day we were playing star wars and i suggested she should be 'dark hater' everyone looked at me weird...'

'When my brother was four we visited a pond by my mother's workplace that ducks, and though I had been a many times before, for him it was the first time. Me and my siblings told him that we had been looking forward to this day for a long time and then explained that we had found him in this pond as a baby and that the Ducks were his real family and that when we left we were leaving him behind to be with them. At first he tried to argue that it couldn't be but we solemnly assured him it was all true. He totally believed it, dead serious and stared out into the lake and really thought about it and decided that being with his duck family was the right thing to do. When mom found out about our prank she quickly cleared everything up but he still acted weird for a while whenever he saw ducks.'

'When I was a young girl I used to believe that drugs were sold in drugstores so I never dare get into one.'

'When I was little girl, I used to believe that when you ate a seed of a fruit you would get pregnant.
Until my aunt had a child when she was allergic to fruit.'

  14. I remember I used to believe jaywalking meant someone was drunk while crossing the street. I recently found out what it actually is  What can I say? We don't have jaywalking over here.

Oh, I just remembered another one.

My parents always personified food in order to get my sisters and me to eat it (we were quite picky when we were younger). Specifically Mum would say the vegetables would cry or feel bad if we don’t eat it because it would get wasted. It didn’t work all that well on me, but in particular one of my sisters didn’t drop that thinking until well into adulthood.

Now she attempts to traumatise her kids with it.

I love the Americanisms, especially learning that Rooting is nothing bad there, yet Knocking up is.

  18. I didn't believe anything that was not taught by anyone, the only beliefs I had from another source were probably one and half a year ago when I read a book and started to believe in all that energy bullcrap. Once looked at people and the blackness around them made me thing I was able to see auras, lol. Also I once experienced the blue field entoptic phenomenon (search it up) looking in the sky and thought it was souls of the dead rising above, cringe.

  19. I've never heard of that... Idk what that is. Lol

    Haha that is amazing

I just remembered another one of mine. When I was little, my mom thought I would be too afraid of the dentist if I knew the novocaine was a shot, so she never told me, and she told the dentist not to tell me. He would always tell me to close my eyes right before he did the shot, and I thought he was just rubbing stuff on my gums to numb them. Whenever I would make a face he would ask if I was okay, and I remember thinking "why wouldn't I be okay? You're just rubbing stuff on my gums...." I never knew the truth until I was like... probably 17 or so.

It's a word processing program designed for authors. Apparently, MW was never designed for writing books and becomes really slow when you've written so many pages, with Scrivener that doesn't happen. I haven't written a book yet but other writers have told me this. You can find Scrivener here.
